2220 Arts + Archives is volunteer-run and most of our events are curated and hosted by our resident programmers. Roughly a dozen series programmers contend for calendar slots, each hosting 1-2 events per month. This collectively comprises the majority of our public calendar. Additionally, we work with a handful of arts nonprofits, independent promoters and festival organizers to host seasonal programming. Every event we host involves many hours of donated time and labor by individuals who coordinate, supervise and drive it forward. 

There are occasional gaps in the programming calendar that allow new projects to arrive, from friends and from the community at large. While we don't actively solicit rentals, and we're not aiming to fill every date on the calendar, now and then we do open our rooms and stages to space rentals from interesting artist-driven projects that are aligned with our mission, to cast & crew screenings, or to film and location shoots that need an environment that evokes a theater, gallery or stage context.

Feel free to write us at EVENTS@2220ARTS.ORG with your proposals or to request venue specs and a rental quote. We tend to rent our rooms in 6 hr blocks, and Mon-Wed nights or weekend afternoons are typical slots. We generally do not rent hourly or in small windows, and weekend nights are in short supply.

Due to the nature of our programming, theatrical productions or weeklong runs are not great fits for us. Realistically, we do get far more proposals than we can feasibly host, so if a proposed project is slow to find an advocate or sponsor, it may be a function of the calendar and our collective schedules. Feel free to check back periodically on our availability, and we'll try to get back to you within 2-4 weeks.
